Ceramic brace case studies
Ceramic braces are a popular treatment for patients wanting fixed braces as they provide a discreet teeth straightening option compared to metal braces. This is because ceramic braces use clear or tooth coloured brackets fitted to the front of your teeth rather than the silver brackets which are used for traditional metal braces. Ceramic brace treatment is generally a faster treatment time than the alternative Invisalign® clear aligners. This is due to it being a fixed rather than removable appliance.
During ceramic brace treatment we recommend avoiding food or drink with a bright or deep colourant in it as this may stain the brackets. It is also recommended not to smoke during your treatment as this can leave yellowish stains on your teeth and components of your braces. However, if any staining does occur don’t worry as we can change your modules on your next visit to the practice.
