The UK is currently under government lockdown meaning a lot of orthodontic practices, including Oldham Orthodontics, have been closed.
It has been our top priority to ensure patients are updated as and when we get more information from the government, but we understand some of you may be worried.
We hope this blog will provide some clarity to the situation we are in and put your mind at rest in terms of your orthodontic treatment.
The Clinic
We have decided to close the clinic in line with national and local government guidelines we have received. Reducing patient contact is one of our key steps to ensuring protection of our staff and the public during these difficult times.
The clinic doesn’t pose a threat of safety and isn’t dangerous, measures are taken to ensure very high standards of cross-infection control. We are conforming with social distancing as advised by the government and public health advisors.
We do not know when the clinic will open again but we will contact you as soon as we have more information on this available.
Appointments
We have, and are currently, contacting patients with existing appointments to inform them of the cancellation. Unfortunately, we cannot make another appointment at this stage. We will contact you as soon as we know the date we can re-open.
Don’t worry though, as we will be open for emergencies between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 during our normal working days (Monday-Friday). If you are experiencing pain, discomfort or if there is an inhalation risk with any aspect of your appliance, then contact us on 0161 768 0931.
Brace Care from Home
If you are worried about your appliance, but do not think it qualifies as an emergency, then take a look at our emergency leaflet for some guidance.
